Intersection Ahead!!! Stop Look and Listen!

There will come a point in which you will practically buy a 2nd car for daily use. specially if you want to be competitive in the racing scene.

Its simply is not feasible to have a daily driven race car. I have tried it for almost 3 years already and believe me... here's whats going to happen to you...

you will start with a compromise with the suspension.. needs a stiffer suspension which means harsh ride on daily drive. (R1 coilover and cruven shocks) or buy a full coilover which is costly

next is that you need better gripping tires.. you WILL buy another set of wheels for the race weekend because you need to time better, FASTER. ( i will iterate.. thats 1 set of magwheels and 1 set of grippy tires, Neova's usually for people who dont have money)...

you also need better brakes.. i used twin pot front brakes of an evo and slapped it to Tammy...

now you need to tune your suspension settings, camber, toe... you need negative camber and outward toe... which means its going to eat your daily driven tires on the inner most part.. which means early retirement of daily driven tire or you simply go to your favorite alignment shop and pay them before and after the race weekend to adjust your camber and toe...

dont forget maintenance dues... if you're on stock engine! ( in which i really would recommend) its a lot less headache.. just follow the service manual on what to replace but on a shorter length of service time for each part... like for example... timing belt for Mitsubishi its usually 80,000 km before it needs replacement... i do it on the 60,000 km...

now its different if you swapped engine! (arggh!, thats also me) there's a reason why the previous owner removed that engine...meaning, it has problems back then and reviving it is costly... its breakdown is frequent and its maintenance cost is also high.

It even come to a point that the car is not reliable for daily use anymore... it breaksdown from time to time... broken sensor here, due for maintenance... etc etc... which disrupts your daily chores... and me who can't stand the fact knowing that Tammy is not running (my life stops when she not working)

and now its official, i bought another car to support Tammy on the daily chores. I still love Tammy, she's still my baby but she's now more focused on race weekends rather than my all around baby.

This is Wacks, Tammy's younger sister. She will be our daily car... (for now! ;P)

7G Galant VR 2.0 DOHC V6 --- stock!

PS, The real trigger point was that my wife is now carrying my JR. and i dont want her stressed during travel and I need a reliable and comfortable car for my wife and soon to be baby!... cheers!
